Fairview VFD Receives Grant

We are very pleased to announce that we have been awarded a 2004 Fire Prevention and Safety grant for
$9,000.00 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Office for Domestic Preparedness.

This funding will be used to purchase at least 500 dual sensor smoke detectors to be installed
in South Fayette Township residents homes. All four of the South Fayette Volunteer Fire
Departments will be involved in the advertising and installation of smoke detectors as part of the
South Fayette Fire District Fire Safety and Awareness programs.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone involved with these grants from our
Township, State and Federal representatives.
